What employment do C.E. raduates find?

All sorts. A fair number have gone into China and done well there. A few to P.W.D. many to firms of Architects and Civil Engincers in Hong Kong and Malaya; some have set up practice on their own account; others have opened factories, ctc.,

There is no un-employment among then ?

Not really, at most times demands exceeds supply.

What employment do they got in P.W.D.? So far this has been a disappointing field only one graduate is on the permanent staff. A fow have been given temporary posts. But wo are able to arrange for a few graduates nnually to be appointed as Apprentice Engineers for two years. Do those Apprentices get a good practical training in P.W.D.?

Somo do and some don't. Depends largely on the Engineer under whom they work. But on the whole the scheme works well

This objection was true many years ago. One reason why we determined to have a work- shop course.
